BY Team Ecotique

Fragrance, whether natural or synthetic, is a common sensitizing agent for all skin types. We all have experienced, Especially for those with sensitive skin, how one application of a perfumed lotion can be enough to trigger redness, bumps, and even zits.

Reasons to Why You Should Use Saffron On your Skin

BY Team Ecotique

What is Saffron?

Saffron, scientifically known as Crocus sativus is the dried ‘stigma’ or the threads of the flower commonly known as the saffron crocus. These threads are reddish-orange in color, the same color as the spice and they are carefully harvested by hand. Saffron has a distinct earthy with a mix of sweet – grassy flavor and aroma which is due to the presence of chemical compounds like picrocrocin and safranal.
